Fabrix Fray-Fixer™  is a new, unique and innovative way to fix unraveling hems, seams,   and  small holes in knits  when on-the-run.  There is a serious and  discernible difference between the physical properties of Fabrix Fray-Fixer™ and  all other fabric adhesives, glues,  and cements available on the  textile and fabric mending market... it is not an adhesive or glue-- it is a fixative which permanently bonds (or "welds") the threads, fibers, or filaments together... transparently.

• Adhesives and glues are viscous (thick) by their physical properties that have larger chains of molecules;
   
• Adhesives/ glues/ cements don't absorb into the woven or  knitted textile fibers-- they encapsulate the threads  with a noticeable glob of patch or sheath when applied;
   
• Fabrix Fray-Fixer™   is a an aqueous polyacrylate fixative-- not a glue. It secures the  fabric threads by permeating them, and welding or bonding  them to each other,   locking-in the mesh... which prevents unraveling without creating a  noticeable patch or sheath.  All other fabric adhesives simply are  designed to glue fabric together without sewing-- and they work  extremely well for those purposes, however Fabrix Fray-Fixer™   is unnoticeable -- it complete saturates into the textile and dries  transparently thereby securing  the threads to each other and  preventing unraveling.

 Officially, the categorization of this product is a notion... technically a sewing accessory.  

In the retail environment-- It is therefore an impulse item... a "must have" that is considered by the shopper to be utilitarian, unique, and of potential future use and benefit.  This should, and probably be in every to be bride's wedding essential kit. 

While there might be an occasional customer that will look in the notions section for a fabric adhesive, or even a travel-sized needle & thread kit, the product will sell based on the customer's past experiences  with rips, tears, and unraveling seams and hems, and purchased on a whim that product will be useful in the future, if not the present of possession of clothing with frayed edges and hems, seams, and small holes in knits. 

The uniqueness of this product not only lies in its composition and ability to permeate the fibers of fabric without creating a glob of shiny and noticeable glue which creates a patch or sheath on the material as most other glues and adhesives do, but the convenience of the travel-sized container, an applicator tube that is more similar to a cosmetic than the typical tube or bottle of fabric adhesive.
