Pantyhose Run- Stop®

Pantyhose Run-Stop®  is our new patent-pending innovation which is the first product to ever be commercially marketed to apply to snags and small tears in sheer hosiery, preventing the progressive unraveling of the knitted nylon mesh-- commonly referred to as "runs" of "ladders". 

For women who still wear tights and pantyhose for work, professionally, onstage, on TV, or social and fashionable events and weddings, this product is a savior, and can turn a fashion disaster that is familiar to all women, into a minor event-- eliminating the angst, distress, and aggravation that they universally have experienced when they run their tights or pantyhose. An emotional event known to all women, but totally alien to men who don't understand such experience-- or even care to relate to.  

Aside from ruining a perfectly good pair of tights or pantyhose (often brand new and just out-of-the-package)-- having a huge noticeable run can destroy a woman's confidence in her outfit being "perfectly put together", and generally happens at the most inconvenient and inopportune moments... while out in public!   

Some of the key advantages of Pantyhose Run-Stop®  are that it's quick-drying, and unnoticeable. It's contained in double-ended lip-gloss tube dispenser-- which makes it convenient and unobtrusive to carry in a purse along with the other essentials-- making it handy and immediately available for on-the-spot  triage when disaster strikes. 

Although practically transparent after the application dries,  the dual lip-gloss cartridges contain the fixative in two tints-- skin-tone and black--- that can be shaken to blend with lighter or darker hosiery-- eliminating any residual "halo effect" of the quick-drying application.

For over a half century since the invention of woven nylon stockings in the 1940's and pantyhose in 1959, the only product known and used by women to stop runs-- has been clear nail polish! Any women who has experienced this knows that the application of the viscous nail polish creates an unsightly and noticeable thick shiny glob or patch that sticks to the skin and needs to be ripped-off the skin when removing the hose-- thereby destroying what's left of the already ruined pair of pantyhose. 

Pantyhose Run-Stop®'s unique composition consisting of an aqueous polyacrylate liquid, permeates and integrates with the woven mesh and welds the microfibers together without creating the thick  globular sheath of clear nail polish. It dries quickly and transparently, and the innovative adaption of a lip-gloss tube dispenser/applicator, can easily and conveniently be carried in a women's purse along with her other essential cosmetics- handy and accessible for immediate use-- when and if the need arises (which it generally does). 

Depending on the location and size of the snag or tear, with the immediate triage of an application Pantyhose Run-Stop® to minimize the unraveling... the hosiery can be rescued and reused again for future wearings. Typically, runs begin around the toe seam with the sharp tips of the toe nails, when someone steps on your toe, or you stub it. With an immediate application-- those small runs can be stopped in their tracks! Other runs develop around the upper thigh area resulting from snags from jewelry or fingernails (or sometimes even velcro), and such damage can be minimized by an immediate on-the-spot application on the snag before it spreads. 

Throughout the past decades, there have been a half-a-dozen attempts to patent different compositions of adhesives and patches for mending or repairing hosiery.  Such patents focused on adhesive compositions, and the few that were granted, failed to incorporate a convenient container applicator, and delivery system to carry the composition, and were never produced or marketed. The composition of Run-Stop®is a fixative... not an adhesive-- and easily permeates the delicate fiber mesh-- thereby welding the thin denier threads or microfibers together. This is sufficient to secure the filament threads, which withstand washing.  
 

The challenge in marketing and introducing Pantyhose Run-Stop, is that it is a new product that has never before existed, and is therefore unknown to the population of millions of women who still wear hosiery.  Ask any women what's the traditional "go-to" home remedy for runs in pantyhose, and they'll all say the same thing-- clear nail polish. Then ask them if they carry around a bottle of clear nail polish when they dressed and out.  

This truly unique and marketable specialty product defies categorization. The primary challenge in the marketing of the product, is how to categorize it.... where to place it in a retail merchandising environment, or even in on-line e-commerce schema.

Synergy Marketing  maintains an office and production facility in an industrial warehouse in central Phoenix Arizona.   While the packaging components and product container/dispensers are sourced in China, the ingredients are sourced from a manufacturer and blended in Los Angeles.  The products are filled in our facility with custom automated filling equipment owned by the company,  and packaged by our employees on-site.
